Well, the ``Core 13'' (Times, Helvetica, Courier, Symbol) are a defined 
part of the PDF standard, and one is supposed to have them available 
(or equivalents, e.g., TimesNewRomanPS, Arial, CourierNew, Symbol(TT)), 
so an alternative should be found, and just for docs, I think people 
will appreciate the smaller, lighter download.
