[OS X TeX] Flashmode-TS

Dear Claus and all:

I too had the same problem Simon had with
Flashmode (using TeXShop and Texniscope). When I
invoked the Flashmode TS-Scrips application,
nothing would happen at all -- no error messages
either.

I then made sure that I had TexShop (with a
document open) and Tecniscope up and running

I tried:
1) re-installing TexShop & Tecnishop applications and the Flashmode scripts
2) throwing out all pref files I found that could possibly be corrupt, etc.

It still didnt' work right. I assumed that I
must be doing something wrong, or something was
over my head and I didn't understand what to do.

After some experimenting, I found that Flashmode
only worked when I used the direct scripts
Flashmode-ts-1 and the quit trigger script.
I resigned myself to using the scripts instead of the Flashmode TS-Scripts app.

Now, however, with the new version of Flashmode
TS-Scripts, all works as it should.

I'm running Tex 2004 on OS 10.3.7 on a G4 PowerBook.

thanks for fixing this, Claus!

Regards,

René
