[OS X TeX] CLI pdflatex

[Google Kreme]

when trying to run pdf latex from the command line, I am getting:

fmtutil: config file `fmtutil.cnf' not found.
I can't find the format file `pdflatex.fmt'!

% locate fmtutil.cnf
