Folks,

Alain Schremmer just wrote about problems typesetting a file;
his trouble seems to be caused by the new pdfsync. The following
remarks may be useful:

a) The old TeXShop won't synchronize correctly when using the
new pdfsync. HOWEVER, the new TeXShop will work fine with
the old pdfsync. Thus it probably isn't necessary for Schremmer to
return to 1.34; he should just return to the old pdfsync.

b) The old TeXShop, and in particular the old pdfsync, are available
at http://www.uoregon.edu/~koch/texshopold.

c) When errors of this sort lead to strange error messages from
pdflatex,
it is extremely useful to me if you will typeset from the Terminal and
see
if the problem persists. If so, TeXShop probably isn't responsible.
