I experienced also a tremendous slowdown of TeXShop on OS 10.3.2 when
several (say more than 4) documents were opened simultaneously, it
taking then more than say 10 seconds to switch from one window to the
other (and also to open the windows in the first place). That's on a 1
GHz PowerBook.

I made an Archive & Install of the OS, and the problem has not yet
resurfaced since (but I have not yet tried to have 10 more documents
opened in TeXShop simultaneously).

Several weeks ago somebody mentioned, I think, for this problem or a
similar one, that this was caused by a preference file and could be
cured by putting this file to the trash. I don't remember which file
more precisely.
