convert bug related to ghostscript bug

Regarding my previous email about "convert" failing, I was wondering if 
it was related to a bug in Ghostscript 8.13, detailed at 
<http://www.ghostscript.com/pipermail/bug-gs/2004-January/003369.html>. 
If so, is there any way to downgrade to gs 8.11 using the i-Installer?
