[OS X TeX] Re: TeXShop 'personal script' for MusiXTeX - FIXED!

My gaffe. I post my remedy here, so others do not make the same mistake I did.

teTex comes with musixflx; I didn't know that, so I went and got musixflx,
and put it in my home directory (in my path). When I ran musixflx on the
command line, I was running the one in my home dir; TeXShop doesn't use my
path, though -- so it found musixflx in
/usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/ when I ran it from inside
TeXShop. I didn't realize this; since I didn't think teTex included musixflx,
I figured TeXShop was savvy to my path and was finding the copy in my home dir.

So the blank console I got when I tried to run my musixtex.pl script was simply
the result of TeXShop not being able to find my script! (Perhaps it ought to
complain more loudly?) I moved my musixtex.pl script to
/usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/ and everything works fine
now.

Best,
Dan Friedman
