[OS X TeX] Re: Anyone using Equation Service?

Hi Doug,

thanks for looking into it !
Indeed the combination of Equation Service with Create should be perfect
for
doing slides with formulas... I use Create most happily since at least
6 years, in its Nextstep incarnation, and IMHO has always beaten the
competiiton
at least for what I am using it for.

For me Create crashes totally independently from the form of the
equation.
If I insert one formula and then copy-paste to get multiple copies of
it, nothing
happens. However the moment I insert a new formula, it crashes
instantly - I have already sent a crash report log to them.
I use OSX 10.1.5 and Create 10.6 from Aug 22.

BTW pasting Equation Service pdf output into Powerpoint gives quite
ugly-looking formulas;
ie., inserting one and then enlarging it shows that it is essentially a
bitmap, while
in Create it scales as it should.
[Perhaps another manifestation of my point that just _porting_ apps,
rather than cocoa-natively
doing them from scratch, ultimatiely damages rather than helps the case
of OSX...]

Cheers,
Wolfgang
