[OS X TeX] getting started

TeXShop and iTeXMac are both based on Gerben Wierda's adaptation of 
teTeX for Mac OS X. teTeX is more or less the standard TeX install on 
Linux, which makes it very easy to collaborate with people working on 
PCs. If I'm not mistaken, OzTeX and CMacTeX both have options for using 
teTeX instead of the original TeX arborescence shipped with them.
