It only happens when printing. Display is OK.

The document to test teTeX (and other) setting with is testpage.tex 
which is available in the texmf tree.

	pdflatex testpage.tex or
	altpdflatex testpage.tex

They give identical results here.

It is indeed a TeXShop bug. You can print the document from Preview.app 
(open, set Page Setup to A4 and print). Setting Page Setup in TexShop 
dimmed when the PDF window is active. It is available when the edit 
window is active, but setting it at that time does not have an effect.


Dick, I think this bug needs a quick fix. A large part of the world is 
using a4.
