A context user would write this as:

\definefontfeature[test][kern=yes,featurefile=bonum]
\definefont[test][name:texgyrebonum*test]

Ligature in certain words can be broken in the following way.

\usemodule[translate]
\translateinput[aufhalten][auf|*|halten]
\enableinputtranslation
\setupbodyfont[pagella]
\starttext
fh aufhalten
\stoptext
