<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Hello. In my .tex
file \dot{\vec{r}} corresponded to a black line segment under the
dotted vector r in my output file. My first guess is that it may have been
an output file corresponding to a latex2html... command on the .tex
file. My uncertainty on that matter arises because in recent
weeks I have been using both pdflatex commands and the combination of latex plus
latex2html commands. My method to eliminate the black line segment
under the dotted vector r was to instead put \dot\vec{\hspace{0.2 mm}r} in my
.tex file.</FONT></DIV>
