[l2h] latex2html-2002-2-1 installation bug

hello,

firstly, thanks for latex2html: it works really well and produces astonishingly good html output. good work!

i have just installed latex2html-2002-2-1 and have come up against the following snag: after configuring with:

./configure --enable-eps --enable-png --enable-wrapper

building and installing, the files cfgcache.pm and l2hconf.pm are placed in the directory /usr/local/lib/latex2html. now, when i go to the docs subdirectory and run "make manual.html", it dies with:

$ make manual.html
make fresh
make[1]: Entering directory `/u2/src/NEW/latex2html-2002-2-1/docs'
latex2html  -no_math -html_version 3.2,math  -short_index -split 4 -link 5 -t "LaTeX2HTML" manual.tex;
Fatal (use l2hconf): Can't locate l2hconf.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl . /usr/local/share/lib/latex2html) at (eval 8) line 2.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 8) line 2.

Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/bin/latex2html line 39.

i then went and reconfigured the software with:

./configure --enable-eps --enable-png --enable-wrapper --libdir=/usr/local/share/lib/latex2html

and this put those files in a place accessible to perl.

is this the intention? or am i missing something?
