Please check whether your  pnmcrop  executable understands the options
-left and -bottom. If not, you need to get netpbm-1mar1994p1 (note the p1)
and install that.

That's not easy to fix. You could consider creating a table instead of the
minipages. It is hard for LaTeX2HTML to align such constructs correctly.
One idea could be to create an additional <TABLE> that holds the
minipages, but that is currently not implemented.
