Examples of nontrivial font downloading set-ups wanted

I'm currently trying to complete the "in-source" documentation of the
features I've added to fontinst since v1.910, in particular of the
automatic mapfile writer (so that I can finally get the new version
uploaded, which it should have been weeks ago), but to make readable
explanations of some of the commands I need examples to apply them to. In
particular, I would like to give some examples for fonts where you _don't_
just download (a PS encoding file and) a single file for the font program.
Unfortunately my own experience in this particular area of using fonts with
TeX is restricted to fonts where that is all you do, and therefore I turn
to this list for help.

Could you be so kind as to send me a couple of examples of fonts which need
a different treatment? I must also ask that you don't just send me a couple
of lines from a map file---they're not bad as such, but chances are they
won't make much sense to me without some short explanation. (A sentence or
two is probably enough.)
