having fontinst write font map file

Originally I didn't do this because I was trying to make fontinst
driver-independent.  These days I think that's a bit silly, and indeed I
had `must get round to generating .map files' on my to-do list for a few
years...  Since fontinst already has the code for generating .fd files,
it shouldn't be too difficult (er I think) to generate .map files too.
