Hi

I like the question: Who provides LaTeX training? I think a good answer
will help a good few PhD students, and also those give training courses.

I've got a spare half an hour to spare [and actually spending an hour], so
here goes. First of all the search

   - site:http://tug.org/ latex training

brings up (in the order given by Google)

   -
   http://uk.tug.org/2010/06/17/latex-training-course-using-latex-to-write-a-thesis/
   - http://uk.tug.org/2009/02/07/latex-training-university-of-manchester/
   -
   http://uk.tug.org/2009/01/14/latex-training-course-cambridge-university/
   -
   http://uk.tug.org/2011/03/12/latex-training-course-15th-april-2011-cambridge/
   - [and now I start skipping uk.tug.org pages]
   - https://www.tug.org/TUGboat/tb26-1/ad3.pdf
   - http://tug.org/mailman/htdig/texhax/2011-March/016912.html
   - http://tug.org/pipermail/tugindia/2013-September/005905.html
   - [and here I stop]

Oddly, the search

   - site:http://tug.org/pipermail/edutex latex training

brings up no results. It seems that the 2016 pages haven't been indexed
yet. I wonder why.

Jumping ahead, my conclusion is that it is possible to find URLs that are
interesting and helpful to us, via Google search. Some of the URLs give us
people who might want to join this group. Maybe, as a group, we could do
this somewhat systematically, say starting with our own country or region.

The rest is a log of my exploration, in care you're interested.

Having warmed up, let's go to the whole internet, with

   - latex training

This gives as the first page of results

   -
   https://www.overleaf.com/latex/learn/free-online-introduction-to-latex-part-1
   - http://www.training.cam.ac.uk/course/ucs-latex
   - http://www.texnology.com/train.htm
   -
   https://training.nottingham.ac.uk/cbs-notts/Guests/GuestCourse.aspx?CourseRef=GSTLA1
   - http://www.rpi.edu/dept/arc/training/latex/class-slides-pc.pdf
   - http://www.aliwoollatt.com/latexproduction
   -
   http://uk.tug.org/2010/06/17/latex-training-course-using-latex-to-write-a-thesis/
   [again]
   - http://liantze.penguinattack.org/training_consultancy.html [Lim Lian
   Tze, from Malaya]
   - http://www.ma.rhul.ac.uk/akay/teaching/latex/ [a nice dual screen
   instant preview MathJax online mini-course]

Using the form on https://www.google.com/advanced_search to search for
"latex training" in Brazil

I don't get any interesting results on the first two pages. Most of the
results are about latex clothing, and few about rubber. Wikipedia tells me
that the Pará rubber tree initially grew only in the Amazon rainforest.

Refining the search to include mathematics gives more interesting results
(and restricted to Brazil). The links on the first page are

   -
   http://admin.cambridge.org/br/academic/subjects/computer-science/scientific-computing-scientific-software/learning-latex-2nd-edition?format=PB
   -
   http://conteudo.icmc.usp.br/CMS/Arquivos/arquivos_enviados/BIBLIOTECA_113_RT_392.pdf
[a technical report mentioning latex and training]
   - http://AAA-www.motorfetiche.com.br/brown-university-thesis-latex/ [An
   essay writing service!]
   - http://labs.3ecologias.net/wines/thesis-figures-latex.php [404 Not
   Found]
   - http://zeus.mat.puc-rio.br/renata/index.php/links [which links to a
   URL ...]
   -
   http://zeus.mat.puc-rio.br/renata/index.php/links/84-latex-and-typography
[... not on the first page]
   - http://www.ime.unicamp.br/~moretti/aimms/AIMMS_modeling.pdf [a paper
that happens to mention latex and training]
   - http://AAA-essaypro.com/gb/?tap_s=WttdSEjkLmRinJPdAxNLKN [the same (?)
   essay writing service, reskinned]
   - https://AAA-speedypaper.com/?rt=a4XI2O0l [another essay writing
   service]
   - http://www.sbm.org.br/en/publicacoes/livros/submissao-de-livros [The
   Brazilian Math Society]

I've modified the URLs of the essay writing services, so that I don't
improve their seach ranking.

Have fun. I know I did.
