Most of this site is generated from the same XML source files as the showcase suite. We've done out best to set up the style sheets in such a way that Firefox (which we use as reference browser), Internet Explorer and Opera all produce acceptable results. As of 2004/09/24 there is a bug in IE that may show up as gray bar at the the right part of the screen. Surprisingly all these browsers interpret area dimensions, margins and padding in their own way at the outer (area) level, which means that the spacing actions need to take place at a deeper level; alignment (esp in IE) goes hand in hand with a bit of fuzzy 'lapping'. The Safari browser does not handle the right hand menu right, which is due to wrong percentage handling. So, there are more than enough reasons to use Firefox.
