LaTeX Typesetter Wanted: Healing Mountain Publishing, a healthcare
textbook publisher, is seeking a professional skilled in use of LaTeX
and XeLaTeX for typesetting study manuals and textbooks. Most projects
have been in existence for years and require only minor updating and
revising to go to press. New textbook projects also occur at a rate of
1-2 per year. Work from home on your own schedule with well-established,
clear deadlines.
Required: advanced experience with LaTeX setting text (very little mathematical typesetting is used) in MacOSX environment. Excellent communication skills, both via email and phone. Preferred: Past experience typesetting textbooks. Past experience with typography, graphic design, and/or book publishing. Bachelor's degree. Interest in natural medicine. Pay: Negotiated based on experience, on a per-project basis. Minimum $750 per book (more for new projects; less for established projects that only require minor adjustments).
